Final Project

I chose the title "Katie-O's" because this cereal describes me. In each bowl there are my favorite things, including a dancer, soccer ball, giraffe, and more. I used the rainbow background because it is bright and expressive. I also used many different tools on the text like text overlay, inner glow, and drop shadow. Around the picture of myself I used the star paint brush to make a border.

Glogster

This is my Glogster. I used a bunch of pictures that describe different things in my life. I also used a lot of graphics all over the page to make it less boring. There is also a few quotes on my page that are meaningful. Also I thought it was cool how there is a quote with a girl laughing and her friend smiling and next to it is a picture of me and my friend basically doing the same thing.

Pros and Cons of Facebook

PROS:

1. It's a good way to interact with friends and family.
2. It's a good way to find people that you have been searching for (biological parents, etc.). 
3. It's a good way for a business to share their product with other people.

CONS:

1. People can stalk you.
2. People can find out about your personal information. 
3. Things you put on there can be seen by future bosses and cause you to not get a job. 

I think Facebook is a good way to connect with friends and family but it can potentially be dangerous. Some random person could stalk me and/or take my personal information. I feel like Facebook is a good thing to have but you need to be careful when using it. 

Creative Photoshop

For my creative photo shop I took a city background and put myself on it holding the Eiffel Tower. For the border I used floral brushes and did four different lines of them. I transformed two of them and turned them sideways. The hardest part about this project was making the center of the Eiffel Tower look like the buildings were behind it. I just used small white brush strokes to make it look like the lights from the buildings next to it. 

Light Saber

During this project we changed a ruler stick into a light saber. I thought it was very cool but also very difficult. It was hard turning the ruler stick white so that I was able to make it glow.

Landscapes

These are my two landscapes. The first one I followed directions to make. The most difficult part with that one was the rainbow. The second one I made myself and it was pretty easy after I got the hang of everything. My favorite parts in the second one are the grass and umbrella.

The Lost Animals

The Lost Animals

On the website goanimate I used the animal theme to create an animation between a zebra and an elephant. Throughout the animation they are discussing what they're going to do to try and rescue the other animals. My favorite part of this project was being able to type out the animal's dialogue. 

PicMonkey

This is my PicMonkey. I used mostly the zombie theme to add the bruises and gashes, and also to make my skin the color it is. I used some of the vampire theme also to make my skin a bit more white and to add dark shadows under my eyes. 

Alien Photoshop

During this project, not only did I turn myself green but I also made horns on myself and used lens flare to add the brightness to my eyes. My favorite part was turning myself green.

Photostory

My Photostory is about the city of London. I chose London because last winter break I went there with the dance team and band. I took lots of pictures there and it's such a pretty city that it was fun to do.

I added in the yellow fish and the two clownfish because they're some of my favorite underwater fish. My favorite part of this picture is the scuba diver in the background because he looks real and I think I did a good job changing the opacity to make it look more realistic. Also I really like the little turtle in the bottom right corner because I think it looks cute. 

ZooBurst

ZooBurst Pop Up Book Project 

Join Kailey and Delaney on their adventure through the zoo. Visit six different animal exhibits and look at a variety of sea life. Kailey and Delaney go to the giraffe, elephant, and penguin exhibits, plus many more.This is a great book for second graders and kids that love to visit the zoo!

Elements and Principles of Design

The three things I have learned from this project is that to take a QR Code the paper needs to be completely flat. Also I have learned that the art wing holds practically all of these elements and principles. Lastly I learned that a lot of these elements and principles are shown together in a picture, so one picture can be used for many of them.

Pixton

This is my Pixton, I made it like this because I like the beach themed background and wanted it in my comic. 

BigHugeLabs

I used Aliens for my magazine cover because I thought the Alien picture I used was very funny. I used Wanted for my movie poster because i thought the theme was cool. I also made a calendar at the bottom for extra credit.

I picked these pictures because they were the funniest and best that I did.

Uses for Wordle and Taxgedo

Ways you can use Worlde and Tagxedo in everyday life are for presentations. Other ways you can use them are for if you're running for a class representative at your school you can write down your characteristics and why you would be a good representative. Another way you could use these cites are for decorative posters or cover sheets.

So far my two favorite things that we have looked at during this class are Prezi and iGoogle. I like Prezi because it's easier to use than PowerPoint and I like iGoogle because you can customize it for yourself.
